Salicylic AcidBenefits, how to use & safety
The pore cleaner that gets inside.
What is Salicylic Acid?
Salicylic acid is an oil-soluble beta hydroxy acid that can travel into pores, which is why it is the go-to ingredient for blackheads, whiteheads and oily skin. It is closely related to aspirin and has mild anti-inflammatory properties.
How it works
It dissolves the oil and dead-cell glue inside pores, loosening clogs and helping skin shed more evenly. Because it is oil-soluble, it reaches deeper than water-soluble AHAs and also calms the inflammation around breakouts.

Frequently asked
Is salicylic acid safe for daily use?
Low-strength cleansers can be daily for oily skin, but leave-on treatments often work better a few times per week.
Salicylic acid or glycolic acid?
Salicylic acid is better for oily, acne-prone skin and pores. Glycolic acid suits dullness and texture.
Can I use salicylic acid with retinol?
Yes, but alternate nights to avoid over-exfoliation.
